🇲🇿 Letts Commerce — Mozambique · Roadmap

Three rails, two ports. Coming to Mozambique.

Mozambique’s seaports are SADC’s gateway to landlocked neighbours — Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, eastern DRC. Letts is building Mozambique-first with three mobile-money rails, MZN native pricing, Portuguese localisation, and corridor-freight partnerships on Beira and Nacala.

Why Mozambique-specific

Three rails plus the Beira and Nacala corridors

Beira and Nacala move ~80% of central-SADC import/export freight. Letts treats Mozambique as a strategic SADC corridor market, with Portuguese localisation and AfCFTA pre-clearance built in.

Three mobile-money rails

M-Pesa Vodacom Moçambique + e-Mola (Movitel) + mKesh first-class. Plus card and EMOLA-Pix interbank. Mozambique’s mobile-money market is growing fast; Letts captures all three operators.

MZN pricing

Prices, invoices, taxes, P&L all in Mozambican meticals. AT-compliant tax invoicing. Lusophone interface support on the roadmap (Portuguese alongside English).

Banco de Moçambique track

Engaged with the Banco de Moçambique on Payment Service Provider authorisation. Integration with SIMO (Sociedade Interbancária de Moçambique) on the roadmap.

Local Maputo + Beira teams

Onboarding and support team build-out planned for Maputo (commercial capital) and Beira (industrial port). Portuguese, Sena, Tsonga support over time.

Maputo · Beira · Nampula · Tete

Roadmap rollout across Mozambique’s major commercial hubs and the freight ports. Hardware shipping via SADC routes from regional fulfilment.

Beira + Nacala corridor priority

Mozambique’s seaports (Beira and Nacala) are SADC’s busiest export gateways for landlocked Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Eastern DRC. Letts Trade has corridor freight partnerships built in for cross-border merchants.

Mozambique unlocks the central-SADC ports.

Letts is headquartered in Malawi. Mozambique is the strategic SADC corridor market — Beira and Nacala move our exports to the world. Same depth of integration commitment as our home market, this time with Portuguese localisation and corridor-freight partnerships.
