The operating system for African SMEs.
Letts Commerce is a unified digital commerce platform — POS, payments, ERP, marketplace, trade, and education in one system. Built in Malawi, expanding across the continent.
Started in Malawi. Building for the continent.
Letts Commerce started with a simple observation: most African SMEs run on five disconnected tools — a POS, an accounting package, an inventory spreadsheet, a marketplace listing, and a website. Each is good in isolation. The seams between them leak time, money, and morale.
We thought there was a better way: one platform, deeply integrated, built for the realities of African commerce. Mobile money first-class. Low-bandwidth optimised. Cross-border AfCFTA-ready. Locally supported.
We’re building it from Malawi, where we know our customers. We’re expanding country by country, never half-shipped. The goal is to be the default operating system for African SMEs — and we plan to take the time to do it right.
Five things that drive every decision
Integration over fragmentation
Commerce, operations, finance, and trade should live in one system. The integration is the moat.
African-first, not African-also
Built here, for here. Not adapted from a US/EU template; designed around what African SMEs actually need.
SME-shaped, not enterprise-shaped
Most ERPs are built for the Fortune 500 and dumbed down. We built Letts for a 5-person team that needs power without complexity.
Capability before scale
Tools alone don’t scale; capability does. That’s why Letts Academy is core, not bolted on.
Continental ambition, local execution
We aim to be the OS for African SMEs. We get there one country at a time, deeply localised, never half-shipped.
